Clean Cooking

Westwind Energy was honoured to participate in the prestigious King’s International Sustainability Reception at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, November 6th.

Our Managing Director, Hannah Max-Macarthy, joined a distinguished assembly of leaders from industry, government, academia, and non-profit organisations to address some of today’s most pressing global climate challenges.

This distinguished event, hosted by His Majesty the King, gathered prominent figures including Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Net Zero Secretary Ed Miliband, Environment Secretary Steve Reed, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency Fatih Birol, and Dame Ellen MacArthur DBE.

The reception provided an invaluable platform for dialogue, with discussions centered around climate action, renewable energy, the reduction of plastic pollution, and sustainable business practices.

The discussions aimed to encourage collaboration and inspire actions aligned with the objectives of the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) and the Plastic Pollution Treaty negotiations.

Reflecting on the event, Hannah shared, “It was a privilege to be part of such an impactful gathering. Collaborating with leaders dedicated to sustainable change reinforced our commitment to driving clean cooking solutions that uplift communities and contribute to a more resilient planet.”

Westwind Energy is proud to stand alongside global change-makers in advancing sustainability and remains dedicated to innovative solutions that address climate change.
