Westwind Energy is a social enterprise based in Sierra Leone. We have been manufacturing and distributing improved energy efficient cookstoves under the brand name Wonder Stoves since 1990.
We are seeking a Digital Communication Specialist who is a creative visionary to take control of our digital strategy and engage and inspire our customers to effectively promote our business and brand.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day management of campaigns and ensure brand consistency.
- Draft and create content for distribution across social media platforms.
- Consistently grow our audience, reach, and interactions with our brands.
- Manage audience interaction through our various social media platforms.
- Create social media campaigns to accomplish specific goals.
- Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with all members of the team.
- Properly and accurately gauge timelines required for completion of work.
- Supervise all aspects of social media interaction between customers and the company and ensure a positive customer service experience.
- Ensure progress on all platforms by using analytical tools such as Google Analytics and others.
- Work closely with the digital marketing team and creative services to plan and evolve content strategy.
- Conduct industry research across multiple verticals.
- Assist with new marketing projects/initiatives and ad-hoc reporting requests as needed.
- Oversee the creating and implementation of the monthly editorial calendar which includes monthly sales objectives and initiatives.
- Serves as liaison on behalf of the Directors to the various companies and assist with all internal and external communications.
- Check campaigns and report results into a Google Spreadsheet daily.
- Finding new Ideas and creating Facebook/IG/LinkedIn/YouTube content.
- Setting up/Planning our social media feeds.
Additional Capabilities
- Knowledge of content strategy, content creation, Social Media strategy/marketing.
- Ability to check campaigns and report results into a Google Spreadsheet daily.
- Strong copywriting ability. Taglines, headlines, e-marketing copy, blogs etc.
- Graphic design ability preferred to conceptualise campaigns.
- Social Media experience (Instagram / Pinterest / Facebook).
- Photography, video editing and graphic design experience.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Adobe Illustrator and other graphic design software.
- Strong listener, collaborative, diplomatic, and consultative.
- Demonstrates mature executive presence.
- Ability to self-initiate and execute responsibilities.
- Creative, energetic, and likes to have fun.
- Embraces bold thinking and a growth mindset.
Skills
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of employee communications methodologies, tools and vehicles
- Ability to build strategic communication plans, and exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives
- Superior writing and editing skills – with “near perfection” writing and editing skills
- Comfortable and confident in providing consultative skills to all levels, including most senior company management
- Creative thinking and ability to experiment with new communications channels
